Reduce Stress Concentration
Maximum reducing the stress concentration is the primary measures and main way for improving the fatigue strength of the main shaft. Because the mutation of shape and size is the structural causes of stress concentration, in order to reduce the stress concentration, we should reduce as much as possible mutations in shape and size of the main shaft, and make it smooth, uniform change.
